It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father and friend, Fred Bratt on February 16, 2025, at 78 years of age.
Reunited with his beloved wife, Carol Ann Bratt (1989) and his son David Bratt (2019). Survived by his beloved daughter, Aimee Bratt and daughter-in-law Colleen Jeffs and cherished grandsons, Nicholas and Joshua Nemeth. Dear brother to William Bratt (Pauline) and the late Carl Bratt (Gloria) and favorite niece, Tracey Bratt. Predeceased by his parents, Ben and Evelyn Bratt. Fred will be greatly missed by his granddog Seger (Tupid) and countless friends and extended family.
Fred grew up in Amherstburg and worked for 39 years at Chrysler. He loved to travel and spent a lot of his younger years camping, hunting and playing baseball. He had a passion for fishing, hosting an annual fishing tournament week at his home yearly. He was a man of the grill, nobody could BBQ a ribeye steak like he could. He loved euchre and taught lessons in his garage, ‘The Black Lung.”
The outstanding care provided by Dr. Hamm and staff at WRH and The Cancer Centre was greatly appreciated. Many thanks to the oncology staff on floor 4 west at Met hospital especially his favorite nurse Lawrence.
Memorial donations to the Windsor Regional Hospital Cancer Center would be greatly appreciated by the family.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial visiting will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 3:00pm until time of Fred’s celebration of life at 5:00pm at Families First Amherstburg (585 Sandwich St, S. 519-969-5841).
