David A. Stairs
1949-2025
David Allan Stairs of Hartland passed away on Monday, January
6, 2025, at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville. He was born
April 26, 1949, and was the son of the late Merchie and Alice Stairs.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his stepfather, Harley
Furrow; son, Greg Stairs; grandson, Brian Stairs; sister, Pauline
Taylor (Freeman); brother Roy Furrow (Shirley); brothers-in-law,
Wendell Parkinson, Cyril Hamilton; father-in-law and mother-in-law,
Ira and Alice Hamilton.
David is survived by his wife Connie Stairs of Hartland;
sons, Kirk Stairs of Grand Prairie, AB, Bobby Stairs (Tanya
DeMerchant) of Bath; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Stairs of Rusagonis;
grandchildren, Brianna O’Donnell (Jared Mullin), Brendon
Stairs (Lucretia), Brett Stairs, Dustin Tucker, Rachel Tucker (Denny
Thibodeau); great grandchildren, Terri Mullin, Ruby Mullin, Roman
Tucker; sisters, Melba Parkinson, Carol Durling (Blaine); Richard
Furrow (Carol); sister-in-law Iris Thompson (Robert); nieces and
nephews.
Visitation will he held at the Britton Funeral Home, 2 High
Street, Hartland on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 2-4 p.m. and 6 – 8
p.m. The funeral service will be on Saturday, January 11th at 11:00
a.m. from Saint Gertrude’s Catholic Church in Woodstock with
Father Martin Arputham officiating. The interment will be at a later
date in Saint Bonaventure Catholic Church Cemetery in Lakeville. If so
desired, donations to Saint Bonaventure Cemetery would be appreciated.
