After bravely fighting an intense, debilitating battle with ALS, Lou Gherig’s Disease, Dave passed peacefully holding his wife’s hand on April 5th, 2025 at 78 years of age. Loving husband of Barbara for 59 years. Cherished father of Stacey Britton, Jeff (Lore) and reunited with his daughter Baby James (1970). Proud Grampa of Ethan, Madison, Brianna and Aiden. Pre-deceased by his parents Roy and Mary James. Dear brother of Roy Jr. (the late Jeanne, the late Marilyn), brother-in-law of the late Tim Langlois (Sandy), Mark Langlois (Lia) and Matt Langlois (Carol). He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Dearest longtime friend of Tony Balestrini.
Dave retired from Ford Motor Company after 34 dedicated years as a Clerk, where he was fondly known as “Jesse”. He loved watching and participating in all sports, Baseball, Hockey, Golf and Euchre. He loved the outdoors, tending to his backyard garden, going for long bike rides and walks along the LaSalle trails. His silver F-150 was his pride and joy.

Dave’s determination and Kick-Ass attitude lead him through life’s everyday challenges, never complaining once about the cards he was dealt by this horrible disease.
Cremation has taken place, and a private family gathering will take place at a later date.
