It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Daryl Gordon Franklin Sparks, 75, of Woodstock, New Brunswick, on January 19th, 2025, at Carleton Manor in Woodstock, New Brunswick.
Daryl was born May 2, 1949, and grew up in Beckim Settlement, raised by his grandparents and went on to complete grade 9 in Centreville, New Brunswick. As Daryl grew into an adult he married and began his family. For several years Daryl worked at the Juniper Lumber Mills while raising his two daughters as a single father.
As time went on, Daryl expanded his family to include 7 children and his wonderful wife Elaine Joyce Sparks (Brown) which he married on May 25, 2004.
He was a devoted father and husband, striving to ensure his family had their needs met.
Daryl is predeceased by his grandmother Effie Tompkins who raised him, his father Gordon Sparks, and daughter Tammy Sparks. Daryl is survived by his wife Elaine Sparks, children Joanne Schwindt, Tina Sparks, Stirling Sparks, Daryl Sparks, Zoe Sparks (Mark Kenney), and Arizona Sparks, along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A public visitation will be held on Thursday January 23, 2025, at Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, from 2 until 4PM
Interment will be At the Bloomfield Cemetery in the spring.
The family have asks that any donations be made to the Carleton Manor.
