Dale Monroe Obituary
In Loving Memory of Dale Monroe…
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dale Monroe, a devoted husband, loving stepfather, grandfather, brother and uncle. Dale passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, after a life well-lived.
Dale had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He found joy in hiking with his beloved dog Abby and has been a dog lover all his life. Fishing was one of his favorite pastimes-a passion that connected him to nature and brought him peace.
Dale was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. He worked at Quaker Oats in Trenton for an incredible 42 years, taking great pride in his work. After retiring, he continued to serve his community to the present day as a school bus driver, where he especially enjoyed the company of the kids he transported each day.
Dale is survived by his loving wife Peggy of 42 years, his brother Bob, and his stepchildren: Debbie (John), Dave (Jennifer), and Mike (Pam). He was a proud grandfather to Lindsay (Jennifer), Ian (Megan), David (Kathleen) Eva (Adam), Isaac, Ben, and Josh (Martina), and a great-grandfather to little Ella.
Dale may have had a tough exterior and a famously dry sense of humor, but those who knew him best saw the big heart beneath it all. He had a soft spot for his family-especially his grandchildren-and loved to tease and joke with them, often pretending to be grumpy just to get a laugh. His generosity, love, and care for those closest to him will be remembered and cherished always.
A private family gathering will be held to celebrate Dale’s life. Memories, stories and condolences can be shared online at www.weaverfuneralhomes.com
