Dale Allen Green, 73, of St. Albert, Alberta, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2025. Dale was the beloved husband of Janice, who shared his love for life and his penchant for laughter. He was the proud father of Christopher, who inherited his dad’s sense of humour and his knack for storytelling. Dale’s family, including his sisters Diane (Bob) Vik and Susan (Bert) Green, as well as his brother Jim Green, will miss his engaging conversations at their gatherings. Predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Flo Green; and his brother, Kent Green, they will no doubt welcome him with open arms.
For 25 years, Dale was behind the wheel of a school bus, a role he cherished as much as the children cherished him. He wasn’t just a bus driver. He was the collector of stories, a peacemaker and a peacekeeper, and above all the guardian of what he would never let anyone forget was precious cargo.
Dale’s passion for cars and motorcycles was legendary. By his 21st birthday he had already owned two dozen of them. Often found at show and shines, the only thing he loved more than a set of wheels was his family. His life was a journey filled with laughter, love and the revving of engines.
His family would like to extend their personal gratitude to all the staff at Unit 7AB of the Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre for their compassion, respect and empathy.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
