Dale Totten Obituary
On January 3rd, Dale Ashford Totten passed away at Bobby’s Hospice surrounded by his loving family. Born in Saint John, NB, on October 9, 1954, he was the son of the late Ashford and Alice (Mabee) Totten.
Dale was authentically himself, and you always knew where you stood with him. He worked all his life as a mechanic and he enjoyed tinkering with cars and building model cars. He loved a good round of crib with friends and family, and his sarcasm around the table will be missed by all who had the pleasure of a game with him.
Dale will be missed by his wife of 49 years Linda (nee Hooper); children: Brian (Tracey) Cook, and Angela (Paul) Totten-Scott; grandchildren Austin, Brydan, Tessa, and Alexander; great grandchild Era; brothers Gary (Sandra) Armstrong, George (Donna) Armstrong, and Grant (Laura) Totten; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Dale was predeceased by his great-grandson Mazriel.
Dale’s family wish to thank all the homecare workers for their great care, help, and support, as well as wonderful neighbors Christine, Shawn, Dianne, Darrell.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd., Saint John, NB, (646-2424) A Celebration of Dale’s Life will be held at a date to be announced. Donations in Dale’s memory to Bobby’s Hospice, or the charity of the donor’s choice, would be appreciated by family.
