Craig Hanna Obituary
Passed away in Toronto on June 14, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Kenora on May 19, 1979, Craig Howard Fredrick Hanna was in his 36th year.
Beloved son of Linda Cupskey and Mike Hanna. Loving nephew of Brad Cupskey, Bill Cupskey and Larry Cupskey. Cherished grandson of Marg Hanna and Jack Hanna (Lori). Craig is missed by many cousins, friends and co-workers.
Predeceased by his grandparents Howard and Elma Cupskey, and Walter Nicol.
Craig worked with the Ontario Government since 2005, starting in the Governor General’s office, then moving on to become an accounting officer, tax auditor officer, then finally obtaining his CMA to become a Financial Officer. His favourite times were spent in the Muskokas with friends and his dog, Newt. He was known to be found cooking and baking up a storm. Craig was a kind, caring and thoughtful young man and through diversity, stayed true to himself, accomplishing so much on his own.
In keeping with Craig’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The Gardens of Reflection at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Toronto is where Craig chose for his final resting place, surrounded by the beauty and serenity that reminds him of summers past.
Online condolences can be sent to Craig’s family by visiting his memorial at www.woodfuneralhome.ca.
Craig will always remain in our hearts, until we meet again.
THE WHISPERING WIND
It’s normal that you shed a tear,
When you learned I took my leave.
But know that I am happy here,
No need for you to grieve.
The beauty that’s surrounding gramma Elma and I,
Would take your breath away.
There’s colour that I can’t describe,
The air’s a sweet bouquet.
Don’t worry about the things unsaid,
There’s nothing to forgive.
Don’t lay your heart upon the past,
Just let our memories live.
And though your earthly eyes can’t see,
Believe that I am there.
Whenever you feel the whispering wind,
Flow gently through your hair.
I am there when fireflies light the dark,
When candles mark a year.
I am there when you are far from home,
And when you need an ear.
I’m always just a thought away,
Our souls could never part.
Connected for eternity,
Forever in your heart.
