Born on Sunday April 16, 1972 at Foothills Hospital, Calgary, Alberta – Corry passed away peacefully at Stratford General Hospital from complications related to cerebral palsy.
While in hospital, Corry was under the watchful care of an excellent nursing staff and physicians that demonstrated compassion alongside tending to the medical realities. Corry’s family extend sincere gratitude to Stratford General Hospital, their nursing staff and physicians of the East One Medical floor.
Corry is the daughter of the late Ann Strasler (2022) and Ross Strasler (1989), formerly of Stratford, Ontario. She is a sister to Terry (Jane) Strasler, Kelly Strasler and an aunt to Joshua Strasler and Sarah (Will) Stankiewicz. She is also survived by her great nieces and a great nephew.
Corry’s home was within the Community Living Stratford and Area (CLSA) for at least 40 years. Over those years CLSA provided superb care and they generated great activities into Corry’s life that created laughter, joy, fun, rest and family. Outings to the Butterfly Conservatory in Cambridge were rated by Corry’s staff as one of her most favourite. Thank you CLSA!! Words cannot express the full emotion of gratitude felt by family regarding your care of Corry over the years. She was a blessing to everyone who knew her and CLSA was a blessing to her and her family!
A graveside ceremony will take place at Avondale Cemetery on Friday June 13, 2025 at 1 pm, followed by a celebration of Corry’s life from 2-4 pm at the Eileen Langley Centre. 112 Frederick Street, Stratford, ON. All are welcome.
