C’est avec grande tristesse que la famille de Conrad Marcoux annonce son décès, survenu le 11 décembre 2024, à l’âge de 77 ans. Né à Charlo, il était le fils de feu James Marcoux et de feu Stella (LeClair) Marcoux.
Il laisse dans le deuil ses deux filles : Erika Marcoux (feu Bryan Watson) et Isabelle Marcoux (Sylvain Doyon), son ex-épouse Bernice (Cormier) Marcoux, sa soeur Raymonde Marcoux, son frère Pierre Marcoux (Délima Essiembre), ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces et amis.
Électricien de formation, Conrad a travaillé chez Roger Bernard pendant plus de 20 ans avant d’acquérir la quincaillerie Home Hardware à Dalhousie. Conrad aimait beaucoup s’impliquer dans sa communauté. Il a servi comme maire adjoint de Charlo (1986-1992), ainsi que comme administrateur à la Caisse Populaire de Charlo Ltée pendant plus de 15 ans. Il a aussi été bénévole auprès d’Ambulance Saint-Jean pendant de multiples années. Son grand dévouement pour sa paroisse a été marqué, en particulier, par son implication et bénévolat auprès de l’église et du cimetière de Charlo.
Conrad aimait bien le hockey, et a joué pendant très longtemps. Ces dernières années, il avait trouvé beaucoup de plaisir à jouer aux quilles avec ses amis. Au cours de sa vie, Conrad a toujours adoré passer du temps en forêt, un endroit qui lui apportait de la quiétude.
Les arrangements funéraires ont été confiés au Salon Funéraire MacMillan et Drapeau. Les visites auront lieu le vendredi 2 mai 2025, entre 18 h 00 et 20 h 00, à la chapelle MacMillan et Drapeau de Benjamin River, N.-B. Les funérailles auront lieu le samedi 3 mai 2025, à 11 h 00, à l’Église Sainte-Trinité d’Eel River Crossing, N.-B.

It is with great sadness that the family of Conrad Marcoux announces his passing on December 11, 2024, at the age of 77. Born in Charlo, he was the son of the late James Marcoux and Stella (LeClair) Marcoux.
Conrad is survived by his two daughters: Erika Marcoux (late Bryan Watson) and Isabelle Marcoux (Sylvain Doyon), his ex-wife Bernice (Cormier) Marcoux, his sister Raymonde Marcoux, his brother Pierre Marcoux (Délima Essiembre), as well as many nephews, nieces and friends.
Electrician by trade, Conrad worked over 20 years for Roger Bernard before acquiring the Home Hardware store in Dalhousie. Conrad loved to serve his community. He was deputy mayor of Charlo from 1986 to 1992, and he served over 15 years as an administrator at Caisse Populaire de Charlo Ltée. He also volunteered many years for St. John Ambulance. Conrad’s great dedication to his parish has been noteworthy, mainly his involvement and volunteer work for the church and cemetery of Charlo.
Conrad loved hockey and he played for many years. In more recent years, he enjoyed bowling with friends. All his life, Conrad loved spending time in the woods, his peaceful place.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of MacMillan & Drapeau Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 pm to 8 pm on Friday May 2, 2025, at the MacMillan & Drapeau Chapel in Benjamin River, NB. The funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday May 3, 2025, at the Sainte-Trinité Church in Eel River Crossing, NB.
