It is with extreme sadness that the family announces the passing of Colby on Monday, March 24, 2025 at the age of 9 month. Left to mourn are his parents Colby Cheechoo Sr. and Julie Ashamock. Baby brother of Cole, Cohen, Calden, Tehya, Danielle, Olivia and Jackson. Cherished grandchild of Pam Ashamock (William Solomon Sr.), Patrick Sutherland and Lorraine Cheechoo (Late Danny) and great grandparents Xavier Loon, Marie Jeffries (nee Gagnon), Late Oliver Rickard, late Lizzie Rickard, Alice Sutherland (Late Ignace) and Late Matthew & Annie Cheechoo.
Dear nephew of Andrew, Late Neil Ashamock, Deni, Buddy, Cameron Cheechoo, Keidan, Cameron, Brayden, Corey, Benny Sutherland. Baby cousin of Amiah Martin, Dyson, Kylee, Kyla, Khaysen Cheechoo as well as great nephew to many great aunts and uncles.
Funeral and interment will take place in Moosonee early next week. The funeral arrangements are entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, CREAMTION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins, Ontario.
