HERRITT, Clinton Dean
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Clinton Dean Herritt, 64 of Arichat NS on May 8, 2025, at St Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish NS. Clinton was born December 18, 1960, in Sydney NS to the late Norman Henry Herritt and Vivian Rose (Dowling) Herritt.
Clinton spent most of his adult life working in the fishing industry, he worked for National Sea for 20+ years, taking time off each year during lobster fishing season to fish with his brother, Dexter. In 2005 he accepted a position with Premium Seafoods Ltd, here is where he met and married his wife, Amanda. Clinton had a love for fast cars over the years he owned a Trans am, Chevelle and his last, most prized possession, a 1981 Corvette, which he loved to show off. Clinton was one of those people who could fix “almost” anything, he was a jack of all trades, who worked very hard and who was always there to give a helping hand.
Clinton is survived by his loving wife Amanda (Boudreau) Herritt; brothers Dexter (Judy), River Port, Lexter (Helen), Bridgewater; sisters Andelyn (Dale) Boutilier, Bridgewater and Denise (John) Long, Hammonds Plains., his many nieces and nephews, which he loved as his own.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Clinton’s life will take place later.
Clintons family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff in both the Emergency department and ICU @ St Marthas Regional Hospital and the staff in the Emergency Department at Strait Richmond Hospital for the excellent care provided to him.
Memorial donations can be made to St. Martha’s Regional Hospital Foundation, Antigonish or Strait Richmond Hospital Palliative care Society.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home Ltd., Arichat.
