With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of my dear sister, Cindy Lou Babcock, aged 45, on January 5, 2025, in Oshawa, Ontario. Born on June 17, 1979, in Kingston, Ontario, she was the beloved daughter of the late Bonnie Carroll and Larry Babcock. She is survived by her sister, Kim Carroll, and leaves behind her legacy as a devoted mother to her two children, Anissa Brown and David Jr. (Sudden) Babcock. Cindy shared the joy of raising her daughter, Anissa, with her father, Mychael Brown, and they lovingly co-parented her together. Cindy was also a cherished aunt to Sommer, Silas, and Sierra.
Cindy was a true warrior, with a heart full of strength and resilience. Throughout life’s challenges, she fought with incredible bravery, never losing her sense of love and loyalty to those she held dear. Known for her vibrant sense of humor, Cindy could brighten anyone’s day with her infectious laughter and quick wit. Her ability to lift others up, even in tough times, was a testament to the joy and warmth she brought to all around her.
As per her wishes, there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome and will go directly to her children. Cindy will be deeply missed, but her strength, love, and the light she brought into our lives will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew her.
