1923-2025
Our dear mother,
Christine Simpson, passed away at home in Grafton on January 30, 2025
at the incredible age of 101.
Despite a hip
fracture, Mom was able to live comfortably in her own home, cared for
by her children as well as her dedicated care givers, Dawn and
Jane.
She was predeceased by
her husband, Clark; her parents, Lillian and Walter Borden; her
sister, Joyce MacDonald, who also lived to be 100; and her nephew,
Jack.
Mom is survived by her
three children, Pam, Bob and Alan, her special grandsons, Joel and
McCulloch and niece, Trish and her children. She also leaves behind
many loving friends.
Mom remained very
active at the Woodville Community and the rehab pool for seniors. She
swam and worked into her mid-80s.
According to
Mom’s last wishes, there will be no funeral service. Her
remains will be scattered by the family at a later date. She wanted to
go out with the tide, and we will do that in her honour. In lieu of
flowers, you may donate to her favorite charity, the SPCA.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
Cremation Services, Kentville.
