Obituary of Cheryl Joanne Keirstead
Cheryl Joanne Kierstead, passed away in her home on June 19, 2025, in Sus, New Brunswick. Born on April 17, 1953, in Moncton, NB, Cheryl’s infectious laughter and adventurous spirit brightened the lives of all who knew her. A mother, grandmother, beloved sister, and a friend to many, Cheryl’s legacy is one of friendship, laughter, and the joy of life’s simple pleasures.
She is survived by her sons, James (0o), Sean, and daughter Shannon (Chris). Her siblings, Randy (Lorraine) Darien (Loretta) Rodney, and Kirk (Greta) her grandchildren Evan, Brenna, Iliana, Ben, Corbin, Claire, and Thomas. Nieces and nephews Selena, Kristin, Lee, Robin, Clark, and Madison and many friends including her lifelong best friend Linda Norden. She is predeceased by her parents Harold and Esther.
Cheryl’s adventurous spirit led her to explore the world through books, bus tours, and the pursuit of yard sale treasures. She could often be found cuddling with her kitty, Dixie, or sharing stories and laughter with friends at the Sus and Area Community Center. Many of us have great memories of endless late night card games around her kitchen table with everyone who just happened to drop in for a visit.
To honour Cheryl’s final wishes there will no visitation or funeral service and cremation will follow. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Paws and Whiskers Sanctuary in Sus would be appreciated.
