As a family, a community and church family, we are broken and deeply saddened by the accidental death of Charlotte Elizabeth Moir of Bloomfield Ridge, NB on Monday, February 10th, 2025. The eldest daughter to Mark and Jennifer (MacKeen) Moir, was born on Friday, June the 21st, 2002 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
Charlotte was Anglican by faith and a member of Saint James the Greater, Ludlow, as a youth attended Camp Medley, Saint Michael’s Youth Conference, Tim Horton’s Camp and was a 2020 Graduate of Central NB Academy. She moved to the Miramichi as a toddler and grew up with a large extended family. She loved to bake and was proud to be part of the team at the Village Restaurant in Doaktown. She was successful through the High School Coop program course as a Personal Support Worker and just completed her orientation at the Central NB Nursing Home in Boiestown. She loved the residents and was so excited about her future career. Her death creates a huge void in her family and her community.
Besides her parents, she leaves behind her siblings; Lionel (Bree) of Nova Scotia, Mackenzie of New Brunswick, Amanda of Nova Scotia, Dawson and Parker, at home. Also mourning her death are her aunts and uncles, Rowena (Patrick), Marie (Ian), Joe (Patty), Nicole (Chris), Troy (Tanya), Kelly (Ledwick), Danny (Karen), Andy (Shelly), Timmy (Joanie), Dougie (Alice), Terry (Greta), Ronnie (Ellamai); great aunts and uncles, Florence (Dave) McCord, Marj Moir, Ruth Clowater, Scott (Beth) Clowater, Norman (Sharon) Clowater, Michael (Janice) Clowater; and great-great aunts, Jean O’Donnell and Joyce Parker. She is also survived by her Godparents, Perry and Shawna McKeil; plus, many cousins and close friends.
Charlotte was predeceased by her grandparents, Elizabeth “Betty” and Charles MacKeen, June and Colby Calhoun and Donald Moir; and her uncle, Peter Moir.
Visitation will take place at Gateway of Hope Assembly, Boiestown on Friday,
February 14th, 2025 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held the following day, Saturday, February the 15th, 2025 at 11 am with The Rev’d Neil Osiowy officiating. Interment will take place in the spring in the Moir Family Plot of the Bloomfield Ridge United Church Cemetery.
