Charlotte Kathleen Holroyd (nee Currie) – died peacefully on Monday January 6, 2025 at the Georgian Bay General Hospital, at 88 years young. Loving wife of the late Willard Holroyd. Devoted mother of Phillip Crosson (Brenda Freeman), Nancy Small (the late Donald), Lee Ann Thomas (Lynn), Helen Hilts (Rob) and Paul Holroyd (Trisha). Cherished grandmother of Jayson Small, Jennifer Small, Leonard Thomas, Lloyd Thomas, Lauraine Barnard, Samantha Lowe, Cory Holroyd, Audrey Holroyd, Logan Holroyd, Travis Hilts and Shiann Booth. Treasured great grandmother of Zack, Ian, Cody, Lillian Thomas, Hanna Osburne, Tyler Thomas, Sebastian Barnard, Oliver Barnard and great great grandmother of Adelyne. She will be missed by her brother Harvey Currie (Lee), many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Janet (nee McDermid) and Christopher Currie, her husband Willard, brothers and sisters Alex Currie, Jean Bowins, Bruce Currie and Gord Currie.
Charlotte had worked at the original Bay Haven Long Term Care Home on Hurontario Street and Harding Carpets. Charlotte loved to watch curling on television. It didn’t matter what time of the day or night, but when there was a curling game, Charlotte was watching. She loved animals, especially dogs, owning a few of her own.
Arrangements entrusted to the Chatterson Funeral Home, Collingwood. A Graveside Service will be held in the spring at Stayner Union Cemetery.
