Charles Comeau Obituary
With profound sorrow and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Dominque Comeau aka Chucky, a beloved father, brother, uncle, cousin, grandfather and friend whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his beloved daughters, Brandi, Brittany and Bobbi. With God’s grace, he became a grandfather, who brought him joy, laughter, and pride, his grandchildren Brody, Laine, Nekoda Rayna and Kodah Scott.
He leaves behind a family who adored him: his brothers Paul Robertson and Doug (Flo) Comeau; his sisters Annie (Doug) Magiskan, Nicole Sargent (Jeff) and Julie (Satty); his beloved nieces Allie-Jo (Jesse) Pellitier, Kya Comeau (AJ), Allison (Andrew) Hitchcock, Breanne Hodgins (Devon), Mary Magiskan and Tajarae Bernier; his nephews Sandy Comeau (Cessley), Joseph (Ashley) Comeau, Douglas Comeau (Kalina), Ryan Hodgins (Holly), Ty Comeau, Caleb Magiskan, Lance Comeau (Angel-Lee), Devin Comeau, Romeo Al-Dulaimi, Martiel Bernier, James Sargent-Waye, and Tristan Sargent-Waye. The mother of his daughters Brandi, Brittany and Bobbi; Cynthia Nelson whom he had a special friendship; and his father, Brian Raven as well as numerous aunties, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his mother, Evelyn Lecoy; his son, Christopher; daughter Angilee; and his brother Hanson Halvorson.
Charlie was born on August 8, 1973, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He yearned for a life without fear and pain; a life that would permit him to realize that the world was open for him to explore and that change was possible. Charlie hid his vulnerability with meticulously-crafted sarcasm, but for those he loved, he had allowed his kindness and compassion to shine – he had found the courage to be himself. He never wanted for the sake of wanting and wouldn’t ask for help for fear he would be inconveniencing someone. Charlie was the most personable, charismatic, cool as hell individual who was always available to help anyone who needed it. He never met a stranger he couldn’t befriend, was as street smart as they come and could fit in anywhere.
Active Pallbearers: His nephews; Sandy Comeau, Joseph Comeau, Matthew Comeau, Lance Comeau, Devin Comeau, Romeo Al-Dulaimi and son in law Ethan Tucker.
Honorary Pallbearers: Nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles and close friends he made along his journey.
Wake service will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 7PM – 11PM at Eternal Grace Funerals. Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 11AM also at the Chapel. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery.
