It is with profound sorrow that the family of Charlene Marie Silver announces her
passing on February 5, 2025, at the age of 52, after a courageous battle with many
health issues.
A beloved wife, daughter, granddaughter, sister and aunt. Charlene was known for her
love of family, her friendship and loyalty to those who were privileged to know her.
Charlene was born on February 28, 1972, in Thunder Bay to Ron and Carol Silver. She
is survived by her best friend and husband Michael Chaykowski, her mother Carol,
sister Trudy (Al), nieces Jessica (Paul), Julie (Angelo), their daughters Ruby and Gia
Marie, mother and father-in-law Linda and Lloyd Chaykowski along with numerous
aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
Charlene was predeceased by her father Ron, brother Alan, great nephew Vincenzo
and grandparents Ruth and Ray Gammond, Mary and George Silver.
Charlene was a woman of quiet grace, beauty and intelligence. Her demeanour was
one of confidence and congeniality. She was a devoted wife to her husband Michael.
They shared a life rooted in friendship and mutual respect.
As a skilled Manager, Charlene worked hard and took great pride in her work in the
casino industry. She led by example and earned the respect of those who worked with
her. She enjoyed travelling and spoke often of the many great adventures she had with
her dear friend Jodi while exploring the world.
Charlene will be missed by all who had the good fortune of knowing her. She will
always be remembered as a great leader, a classy lady and a treasured teammate.
A celebration of life will be held on February 22 nd at 2 pm at the Westfort Chapel.
Interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice
