Passed away with her children by her side at the age of 93 on December 30, 2024. Born in Gasbay, Quebec on June 9, 1931. Predeceased by her sisters and brother Rose, Theresa, Eugene, Blanche and Madeline. Much loved mother of John (late), Jim (Kerri), Veronica (Todd), Maryanne (Ray), Paul (Mary), Pat (Sherri) and Frank (Lori). Survived by 17 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Cecile is celebrating her reunion with her loving husband Francois and son John whom she adored.
Cecile had a warm heart and showed love to everyone. She always had time for coffee and conversation. She adored the time she could spend with her children either to have a meal or a nice ride out in the country. Her faith was strong and she always looked forward to her Sunday visits from Claudette and Maurice.
We thank all the PSW’s that showed compassion and care in her final days and also the staff in Emergency/Palliative Care and Met Hospital. She was so loved and will be missed by all!
Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel – Banwell Chapel (11677 Tecumseh Rd E) (519)253-7235 on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral services on Saturday January 4, 2025 at 9:45am from the funeral home then to St. Anne Parish, 12233 Tecumseh Rd. East. for funeral mass at 10:30am. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Downtown Mission of Windsor in honour of Cecile would be appreciated by the family.
