Cecile’s Obituary
ROBICHEAU, Cecile M. – Age 92 of Meteghan, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 20th, 2025 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Saulnierville Station, she was a daughter of the late Philippe and Rita (Smith) Saulnier.
One of Cecile’s biggest passions was quilting, having even won prizes for her pieces of work. She enjoyed playing cards with friends at the Meteghan Seniors Club of which she was Past President. When this closed, she continued joining her friends to play cards at the Mavillette Seniors Club. Lastly but certainly not the least, she adored her grandchildren and her great-granddaughter.
Cecile is survived by her sons, Wayne (Dena) and Richard (Simone), both of St. Martin; brother, Ulysse (Aline), Saulnierville; grandchildren, Russell who affectionately called his grandma “Maggite”, Cynthia (Adam), Diane (Gary), Ryan (Janice); great-granddaughter, Élodie; special sister-in-law, Edna Saulnier.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred “Froutch”; great-grandchildren, Grace and Léo; daughters, Léonie and Patricia both in infancy; brothers, Alfred, Antoine and Benoit; sisters, Anne, Agnes, Louise, Maria and Yvette.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meteghan Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held in Stella Maris Church, Meteghan officiated by Rev. Hospice Akoffodji on Saturday, March 1st at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Donations in memory of Cecile may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to Jacky Comeau & Friends Cancer Help Fund Association.
