Cathleen Walsh Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Cathleen Marie Walsh on January 14, 2025, at the Moncton City Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Halifax, NS, on July 24, 1969, to Ken and Judy (Graves) Walsh. Cathy spent her younger years in Fredericton growing up, graduating from Fredericton High School. Then, she spent the last 30 years in Moncton. Cathy was a very independent person, who loved helping people. She volunteered at hospitals doing administrative work to help out. She was cheerful and quiet but also very social and outgoing. Everyone who met her loved her. She was full of wise cracks and sometimes you never knew what was going to come out of her mouth. She was comical, caring and loving. Her favorite pastimes were baking cookies and cakes for every occasion, whether it be a birthday, holiday, or any occasion, she was baking a cake. Cathy was loved and will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her parents, Ken and Judy; her brother, Kevin; her nephew Evan and her niece Erin; her special friend Mike Blais who gave her wonderful companionship. Cathy was loved by several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A special thank you to Vicki & Staff at her Lewis St. apartment complex.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646- 2424). There will be a Celebration of Life held on Sunday, January 19, 2025, from 2-4pm at the Fundy Funeral Home Reception Centre. For those who wish, memorial donations in her memory to the Diabetes Foundation of Canada or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by her family.
