Obituary
It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our adored Mother. Catherine (Kay) Finn, passed away after a battle with cancer at the age of 92 years.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Francis (Frank) Finn; her precious grandson Parker Cooper; parents Mary and Patrick Oliver; parents-in-law Thomas V. and Josephine Finn; infant brother Jimmy; brother Patrick Oliver (Bernadette); sisters Mary Doyle (Charlie); Margaret Hynes (Tom); Theresa Fifield (Jack); Agnes Cantwell (Lar); members of the Finn Family, a large circle of nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in-law and friends, all of whom she loved dearly. She leaves to cherish her memory, her only son Thomas V. Finn (Pamela), her daughters Cathie Collins, Jacqueline Finn (Bob) and Dana Marie Mackey (Thomas); her only granddaughter Stephanie Di Trapani (Filippo); grandsons Shane Collins (Kelly); Christopher Collins (Sara); Daniel Finn; Tyler Cooper (Sarah); Thomas Christian Mackey (Nicole); Ethan Mackey; great-grandchildren who were the light of her life Stella, Andrea, and Alessio DiTrapani; Finnley Collins; and honorary granddaughter Lisa Smyth. Mom treasured the family ties she shared with her brothers and sisters-in law of the Finn family. Her relationships with her nieces and nephews of the Oliver, Doyle, Hynes, Fifield and Finn families were very dear to her. Mom loved to reminisce about her time spent and many adventures shared with Tom and Diane Hynes, Wayne and Ellie Hynes; David Hynes; Peggy Hynes; Elizabeth Kearney and Art Miller. The joys she shared with each of you were truly adventures of love and life enjoyed beyond measure.
Mom was exceptionally grateful for her many friendships throughout her life. She loved so many and was loved by so many more. Her visits, chats and friendship with Mary Woodland was a gift she treasured, as well Mom enjoyed wonderful times spent with her now departed friend, Debbie O’Toole. Mom was blessed by many devoted friends from Southview Manor. While living at Ruby Manor Mom made so many beautiful friends, all whom she cherished. She appreciated the simplest gesture and was so thankful to each and every person who extended kind gesture.
The kindness and support provided by Annetta Ruby, Denise Follett and Karen Follett was a true reflection of “angels on earth”. To all the staff of Ruby Manor, your kindness did not go unnoticed.
Many thanks to Dr. Johnathon Greenland; to Sharon Nurse, Mom’s nurse from the Palliative Care Team; to Ashley, Advance Care Paramedic, with the Paramedicine Program.
