Catherine, a beacon of unwavering passion and selfless devotion, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025, in Sturgeon County, AB. Born on February 19, 1951, in the lush surroundings of Port Antonio, Jamaica, Catherine’s journey through life was marked by an enduring faith and a heart that knew no bounds.
Catherine’s life was a testament to her faith-filled spirit, which guided her every step and touched all who knew her. Her passion for life was evident in her radiant smile and the love she poured into every relationship. Catherine’s selfless nature was the cornerstone of her existence, always placing the needs of others before her own, a trait that endeared her to many.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her beloved spouse, Lane, and her devoted son, Henry. Catherine’s nurturing presence will be profoundly missed by her stepdaughters, Jennifer and Cristy, who found in her a second mother. Her siblings, Valverine, Lloyd, and Carmen, will hold dear the bonds of kinship that Catherine nurtured throughout her life.
Catherine’s grandchildren, Sade, Desirée, Jillian, Ethan, Deanna, Gabriel, and Fiona, will forever carry the wisdom and warmth she imparted. Her departure has left a void in the hearts of numerous relatives and friends, whose lives she enriched with her boundless energy and compassionate soul.
Predeceased by her parents, two older sisters, and nephews, Catherine’s spirit now joins those who have gone before her, leaving a legacy of love and service that will continue to inspire.
As we bid farewell to Catherine Bryant, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and grace. Her memory will be a guiding light to all who had the privilege of knowing her, a reminder of the beauty of a life well-lived. Catherine’s journey on earth has ended, but her story will be recounted with fondness and admiration for generations to come.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 11:00 am in St. Albert Alliance Church, 200 Villeneuve Rd, St. Albert, AB with a visitation to begin at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, 14611 Mark Messier Trail, Edmonton, AB.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Catherine to Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance, post office box 32141, New York, NY 10087-2141.
