Audrey passed away peacefully at the Espanola Nursing Home on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at the age of 84.
Daughter of the late Emma and Oreant Hayes.
Beloved wife of late husband Edgar Secord.
Loving mother of David Secord (Tina) of Espanola, ON, Shelley Peachell (John) of Rossland, BC, and predeceased by her sons Jeffrey and Mark.
Dear grandmother of Marissa, Cassandra and Michael.
Cherished sister of Alice Turpeinen (Bill), Jean Ramsey (Dean), Marlene Paradis (Frank) and predeceased sister, Lil Richer (Omer).
She will be sadly missed by many friends, relatives and her work family at the A&P.
Audrey was a gentle soul, who was loved by so many. Known for her kindness and as one of the lovely ‘Hayes’ sisters. She enjoyed the simple life, spending time with family, camping and the occasional bowling party in her earlier years. She was the thread that knit her family together, ensuring everyone was in a happy place.
A very special thank you to the caregivers at the Espanola Nursing Home who cared for her. The family would like to acknowledge your empathy and ask that in lieu of any flowers or gifts that all donations be made to the Espanola Nursing Home facility.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 4th, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Bourcier Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service in the St-Judes Parish, Espanola, with cremation to follow and interment at a later date.
