Obituary of Cary Grant Muncaster
Cary Grant Muncaster 1942 – 2025.
Our Dad passed peacefully in the late afternoon of Good Friday April 18th, 2025 at the age of 82 years. Predeceased by our Mom, his devoted wife Sharon. They were married for 61 cherished years. Dearly missed by his children Sheri (Wayne), Scot (Cathi), Tracy (Verna), Jay (Cindy) and Jeff (Sandra). Loving G’Pa to Cathi, Nicholas (Sarah), Emily (Rocky), Wayne Jr. (predeceased) and Andrew; Andrew (Katie); Sarah (Geoff), Ben (Jacq), Sam, Cory (Robyn) and Victoria (Nick); Marina (Pernell), Emerson (Brianne), and Jacey (Jacob). Affectionately known as GG’Pa to Julian; Isaac, Reuben and Esther; Hailey; Margot, Brooklyn and Beckett.
Cary also leaves behind his treasured siblings Arlene and John (Marisa) and was the firstborn son of Ross and Irene Muncaster (Nagy).
A good portion of Dad and Mom’s lives were spent in Sault Ste Marie, with the last 18 years in Parkhill. While growing in family, Dad worked for Algoma Steel. But the work he loved most in life, was sharing the Gospel of Christ. Dad was passionate about everyone’s need for the Saviour Jesus. On Sundays he could be found preaching for a church and during the week witnessing in unlikely places, with a faith that was steadfast until his passing.
His favorite prayer:
Numbers 6:24-26 “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”
As per Cary’s wishes, cremation has taken place and his ashes will be spread with Mom’s. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
