Carole Alcock Obituary
Carole Irene Alcock
June 5, 1941 – February 25, 2025
It is with extreme sadness that we share the peaceful passing of Carole Irene Alcock on Feb. 25th at the Concordia Hospital. Carole is predeceased by her beloved husband Jack, parents Harry and Marge Alcock, sisters Marlene Wiess and Ruth Halldorsson and brother Peter Purser. Carole is survived by her brothers-in-law Len Wiess and Brian Halldorsson, nieces and nephews Jim Wiess (Lorna), Barry Wiess (Sydney), David Wiess (Janet), Heather Palmer (Mitch), Lisa Magalas (Scott), Rob Halldorsson, as well as several great nieces and nephews.
Carole was born and raised in Selkirk, Manitoba and eventually settled in Winnipeg. After High School Carole attended the Success Secretarial training program in Winnipeg. She spent many years working at Crown Life Canada and enjoyed her time as an Avon representative. It was on the Beaver Bus rides that Carole met Deen Riter and the two became the best of friends for the next 55 years. Carole had a laugh that could light up a room and she loved to make others laugh. She will be missed.
The family is extremely grateful for the caring support from the staff at River Ridge 1, Seven Oaks Home Care and the Concordia Hospital.
Carole’s memorial service will take place at the Gilbart Funeral Home in Selkirk on Thursday, March 6th at 1:00 PM.
