It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Carol Ann Jones on Friday, March 7, 2025 at the age of 79 after she courageously battled a fatal illness thru this past year.
Mom is survived by her three children, Trent (Donna), Curtis (Almira), Sheri (Darcy), Grandchildren, Anthony (Aaron Leigh), Aaron (Raeanne), Kaytlynn (Nathan), Ethan and great-grandchild, Damian. She is also survived by her youngest brother and best friend, Gary (Jeff) and her oldest brother Tom (Jane) along with her sister in-laws Anita, Pam and Stephanie.
She will be missed by many of her friends, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Carol was predeceased by her loving husband DuWaine Jones and her parents Thomas Brown and Bernice Hellofs.
Carol grew up on 32nd Street in Saskatoon, went to Caswell Elementary School and Bedford Road Collegiate. Shortly after high school she got married to Ted Seidel, had their children and parted when the children were teenagers. She worked in Dr. Landa’s office with her Aunt Louise Hearn and various Doctors offices thru her career.
After being on her own for several years she met the love of her life, DuWaine Jones in Nassau, Bahamas. Their love grew strong over a few years and were then married in 2002. Sadly, just over 2 years later she was heartbroken as he passed away from cancer. She loved the Bahamas, however, without DuWaine she decided to move back to Saskatoon to be with her family.
These past 20 years she has loved being a grandma, attending family gatherings, connecting with her friends over lunch dates and acquired a passion for baking. Her sweets will be dearly missed.
Upon her wishes there will not be a funeral. The family with close friends will have a celebration of her life later this spring.
