Carol Jane Brown
(Nov 20,1960 – Feb 27, 2025)
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Carol Brown, who left us on February 27, 2025. Carol was a devoted sister and friend, known for her kindness, strength, witty sense of humor and unwavering love for those around her.
Carol had a deep passion for life and the people in it. She was an avid hockey player earlier in her life and also loved baseball, always cheering on the Leafs and Jays with enthusiasm. Her generosity knew no bounds— as a proud kidney transplant survivor she contributed to the Kidney Foundation, she was a regular blood donor, and volunteered tirelessly for Meals on Wheels and numerous other committees, always seeking ways to help those in need.
Her love extended to all animals, especially her many beloved pets over the years (including Saba the dog and Buster the cat), who truly brought her endless joy and companionship. She had a longstanding career at CIBC and enjoyed her time with her colleagues.
She is survived by her mother Jane C. Brown —who she faithfully called twice a day—, her brother Richard, sister Diane, niece Jenny (s. Jeff), nephew Matthew (s. Ruby), great-nieces Kyla and Noa and great-nephews Leo and Ian who will forever carry her love and memories in their hearts.
A celebration of Carol’s life will be held in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation in her honor.
Carol’s warmth, generosity, love and infectious laugh will never be forgotten. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion that will continue to inspire all who knew her. She left us too soon and she will be deeply missed.
