Carol Ann Bryant Obituary
Carol Ann Bryant
June 24, 1957 – February 15, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Ann Bryant, a devoted wife, mother, Nana, daughter, and dear friend. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, courage, and unwavering love.
Carol Ann was the heart of her family, sharing 45 wonderful years with her husband, Neil, her high school sweetheart. She was a cherished daughter to her mother, Violet (Vi) O’Connor, and a beloved niece to her aunt, Mildred Carter. She was also the proud and loving mother of Jillian Porter (Shane) and Melissa Manning (Eric), and a devoted Nana to Maeve, Charlotte, Elle, and Ivy. She was predeceased by her father, Joseph (Joe) O’Connor, in 1976, a loss she carried with love throughout her life.
Carol Ann dedicated 40 years to the Moncton Hospital, finishing her career in 2016 as a Clinical Instructor at the Horizon School of Radiography. She was meticulous, intelligent, and deeply committed to her work, always striving for excellence and inspiring those around her to do the same.
Summers in Pointe du Chêne were Carol Ann’s happy place, where she captured the most breathtaking sunset photos. Though she adored the beach, she was rarely found in the water, unless it was an exceptionally hot day. She also enjoyed making preserves, a tradition that spanned four generations, with her mother, daughters, and granddaughters all learning alongside her.
Carol Ann was a talented creative who took pride in her quilting, a skill she learned from her mother and grandmother and carried on with great care. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, tole painting, cross-stitch, and scrapbooking, always putting thought and artistry into whatever she made. Whether crafting costumes, decorating cakes, or creating something special for her family, she poured love into every detail.
She had an impeccable sense of style and a love of finding beautiful things, always curating the perfect outfit. She had an eye for fashion, staying on top of the latest trends and always looking effortlessly put together. She especially enjoyed the thrill of thrifting, hunting for unique pieces and turning them into something special. In recent years, she took just as much joy in shopping for her granddaughters, making sure they were always dressed in something thoughtful and stylish.
More than anything, Carol Ann adored her granddaughters. Whether reading stories, coloring, or playing with Play-Doh, she cherished every second with them. She was always there to cheer them on, often found in the rink, gym, or theatre, beaming with pride as she watched them skate, compete, and perform. Nothing brought her more joy than seeing them shine.
Carol Ann and Neil shared a love for bringing people together, hosting elegant and thoughtfully planned gatherings where every detail was designed with care. She had a way of making those around her feel welcomed, celebrated, and loved.
Her warmth, creativity, courage, and quiet strength will be deeply missed, but her presence will always be felt in the beauty of a sunset and the love shared around a family table.
The family invites friends and relatives to a visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995) on Thursday, February 20th from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM.
