With profound sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Carmela Casha. Carmen passed away in Niagara Falls, Ontario on February 16 in her 84th year. Carmen is predeceased by her parents Paul and Paulina. Her brothers; Joseph (Dorothy), George (Josie), Paul and Eddie (Lorraine). Loving mother to her son Raymond and daughter Susan. Carmen leaves behind her former husband Joe. Carmen will be dearly missed by her Grandchildren Tyrene and Karly (Stephen) and their mother Kim. Proud Great Nunna to Scarlett, Rosalie and Juliette. Carmen was beloved by her daughter in law, many nieces, nephews, colleagues and friends.
Carmen was proud of her long career as head buyer for Union Lighting and Furnishings. When she reluctantly retired, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Later in life, she found joy in staying connected with family over FaceTime and virtually following along with her Great Granddaughters’ busy lives.
Family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Millennium Trail Manor for their care and compassion in Carm’s final weeks.
Visitation will be held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton St. E., on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 12-2 p.m. with a service immediately to follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, family would appreciate a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.
