Carl passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his life Mary Jane and family on March 26, 2025 at the age of 86. Devoted husband of 63 years to Mary Jane (Quinn). Reunited with dear son Vincent (2021) and loving father to Jill Marcovecchio and James & wife Dawn. Proudest Bah to Kayla (Luke), Nicholas (fiancée Micaela), Anthony, Michael, Jessica and Chris. Predeceased by cherished parents John and Mary Dettinger, sisters Mary-Lou (Dr. John R.) Dubois and Georgia Dettinger. Dear brother- in-law to Tom (Charley) Quinn. Uncle Carl will be missed by his nieces and nephews.
Carl worked in the computer industry, both in Canada and the US, excelling in sales for numerous companies. He was an entrepreneur and dedicated through-out his career in all in his endeavors. Along with his wife Mary Jane, they both belonged to Windsor Questers Chapter and serving on the Board of Directors at Willestead Manor. Carl enjoyed spending his time as a long time member at Es Golf & Country Club. He loved golfing and the camaraderie of his buddies on Wednesdays in the League of Nations finishing his round with a rum and Coke. Carl was an avid Detroit sports fan, gardener, loved to BBQ, watch the boats go by in his later years and devoted to his white MGB. But above all, his love and passion was always for his family.

Visiting Thursday April 3rd from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Families First 1065 Lauzon Rd. Parish Prayers at 4:30 pm.
On Friday April 4th relatives and friends are invited to join the family from 10 am until Mass of Christian Burial at Good Shepherd Parish (462 Advance Blvd – Tecumseh) at 10:30 am.
Burial to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
