Obituary of Caren Maxine Armstrong
ARMSTRONG- Caren Maxine (nee Reeb) passed away at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at the age of 82. Although she will be deeply missed, loved ones rejoice as she is once again reunited with her predeceased soulmate and beloved husband John Armstrong (2023) forever grateful to have experienced their eternal love. She is survived by her son Ken of Ottawa; and by her daughter Lisa (Sebastien) Gagnon of St. George; by her cherished granddaughters Chelsea and Mackenzie Gagnon; and by her siblings Judy (Jim) O’Reiley, Sandra (Jim) Aylesworth, and Jackie (late Jerry) Gray. Caren was born in Windsor, Ontario to the late Bernel and Kathleen Reeb. She was a valued member of the Wellington Street Public School teaching staff for many years, which gave her the opportunity to help shape many young lives. She was also a long-time active member of New Vision Community Church. Cremation has taken place, and a private interment of ashes will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
