Bruce Robert Daum
December 17, 1939 – April 8, 2025
It is with much sadness we announce that Bruce Daum of Stratford, more recently of London, passed peacefully on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, after a brief illness. He was in his 86th year.
Beloved husband of 62 years to Florence (Traynor) Daum. Dear father of Rob (Valarie Osborne), Karen Gesinghaus (Dan), Joanne Craig (David) and Mick. Loving Grandfather to Troy Craig (Madi Johnson), Michael Craig (Jessica MacLean), Nicole Craig (Mark MacKenzie) and Chris Gesinghaus (Cassandra). Great-grandfather of Colby MacKenzie and Brielle Gesinghaus.
Bruce is also survived by sisters-in-law Annette Nesbit, Elizabeth Shea and Yvonne Nickason (Wayne), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his father Harry, mother Luella (Schmidt), brothers Laverne, Kenneth “Sep” (Margaret) and Keith “Jake” (Fern), and sisters Audrey Dench (Elmer) and Kathleen Berger (Franklin).
He was predeceased by his grandson Joshua (Karen and Dan Gesinghaus), in-laws Jim Shea, Malcom Nesbit, Carol and Claire Walden, Bev and Bill Casey, Bernard Traynor, Gerard Traynor (Bonnie), Shirley Lee (Gordon) and Florence’s parents Vince and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Traynor.
Bruce worked most of his career in the concrete industry, primarily at Boehmers, from where he retired.
Cremation has taken place. A private celebration will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Bruce may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice in London.
