June 1, 1947 – February 12, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bruce Luyben, the beloved husband of Norma, dedicated and loving father of Carrie and Brian, grandfather to his beautiful Caitlyn, brother-in-law to Carolyn Grabowski (Gerry), and uncle to many loving nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Elsie, brother Roy (Marie), and sister Doris (William), brother Garry (Myrna) and sister Maxine (George). Also predeceased by his niece Robbie, nephew Glenn and niece Judy.
He was a passionate hockey player and avid Detroit Red Wings fan. His family was his whole world.
Bruce had a life well lived and well loved. He will be missed by many.
Family and friends are invited to a Visitation to be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 between the hours of 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM at McKersie & Early Funeral Home, 114 Main Street East, Milton, Ontario. A second Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 between the hours of 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to be immediately followed by a Funeral Service to be held in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Burlington Memorial Gardens, 3353 Guelph Line, Burlington, Ontario. Everyone is invited back for a reception to be held in the Funeral Home’s Upper Lounge. (An elevator is available for those requiring assistance.)
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bruce may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society of the Milton District Hospital Foundation. (The links for these charities are noted below.)
