Obituary of Brock Chapman
Chapman: Brock Edmund –
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Brock’s passing.
Born at The Public General Hospital on May 16, 1932, to the late Ellen (Cameron) and Stanley Chapman.
He is survived by the love of his life, Marg “Red” (Gall), his children Kent, Kathy Kirwin (Mike), Karn Graham (Keith), the lights of his life, His three grandchildren, Ellen and Brock Kirwin, Joan Graham (Simon) and three sisters, Ruth Syme (Andy), Mona McLennan (Bill) and Marg Chapman. He is predeceased by his sisters Jane Crown (Owen), June Webel (John), his brother Don and his two faithful companions, Zero and Baron.
Brock was an uncomplicated, remarkable man of few words who worked hard to provide for a family he loved. His happiest moments were time spent around the pool with his grandkids, barbecuing, tending is lawn, in the garden growing the perfect beefsteak for a bacon and tomato sandwich, at the river with a bonfire or just putzing in the shed or the barn. In his final days, he found joy walking around the property, sitting on the deck watching the river, or watching the trains go by, all the while enjoying a glass of red wine.
As per Brock’s wishes, a private family service will follow cremation.
In Brock’s memory, when you have the chance, give a dog a treat.
