Obituary of Brian Anthony Joseph Foy
Born February 23rd, 1943, in Wigan, England and died peacefully in the company of family, on Monday, March 3rd, 2025, at Kawartha Lakes, Ontario, Canada.
Husband of Doris Margaret Foy (née Gill), Dad to Cheryl, and Bryan (deceased), Granddad/Grangie to Samantha (deceased), Amanda, William, and Annie, Great Granddad to Lucas and Macie.
A brilliant mind, an award-winning industrial electrician, an outstanding joke teller, a philosopher, an individualist with a thirst for knowledge. A lover of dogs and cats, books and “collecting”, of land and the outdoors – an adventurer.
Brian will be remembered for being an old Celt, an Evertonian/ Leafs Fan, outgoing, friendly, generous, and funny, for his tremendous physical strength, and for a brain that never stopped.
A private family interment for Brian will be held at a later date. By way of homage to the Celtic tradition of holding a wake, we will celebrate Brian’s life at a reception held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, May 8th, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with remarks to be held at 4:00 p.m.
