Brian McCracken Obituary
Richard (Brian) McCracken
It is with sadness that the family of Brian McCracken of Fredericton NB announce his passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on January 13, 2025 at the age of 76. Brian was born on April 19, 1948 in Hoyt Station NB to the late Carrie (Moore) and Alton McCracken.
Brian will be missed by his son Aaron (Carol) McCracken, and their two boys Evan and Samuel, his brother Brice (Susan) McCracken. Also his late partner’s family, Karen (Roger) Langille, her two daughters; Emma Langille and Shannon (Elliott) Coy, granddaughter Sophia, and Shirley’s son Robert MacDonald. His special friend Rollie Johnston and his best fur buddy Diesel.
Brian met Shirley MacDonald later in life and became part of her family. Her daughter Karen, and her family became Brian’s family as well. Brian worked as a janitor, working at UNB for many years, then Walmart. Brian was a quiet man who was an avid reader and kept a daily journal. Noting each day the weather and current events going on locally and afar. Also jotting down his thoughts on various subjects. Brian was a true Country boy, he loved old trucks and old tractors, and attended many tractor pulls over the years.
Along with his late parents, Brian is predeceased by his soul mate Shirley MacDonald.
The family wishes to thank the Nursing staff of the CCU and 4SE at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital for their compassionate and professional care of Brian.
Following Brian’s wishes, there will be a Graveside Service in the spring.
Arrangements are in the professional care of Sunbury Funeral Home, Central Blissville, NB (506-368-2413). www.sunburyfuneralhome.com
