Brian Edward Gildea
April 21, 1949 – July 25, 2025
Passed away peacefully at home on Friday July 25, 2025 at the age of 76.
He was born 21st of April, 1949 in Bangor, Northern Ireland and came to Toronto in 1952 then to Milton shortly after. Beloved husband to Alma Gildea (nee La Marsh) for 52 years. Son of the late Diarmuid Padroig Gildea and Elizabeth Anderson Fairfield. Loving father to Crystal Gildea, her husband Bari Parsche and to Derek Gildea. Brother-in-law to Leon Richard (Penny Thomas) and Holly Richard (David Gill). Uncle to Riley, Abi, Kendyl, Jacob and Hannah and Camp Dad to our Kin Kamp Kids.
He was a long time member of the Milton Kinsmen Club. A co-founder of the 3 O’Clock Club and loved being pitcher for the Milton Old Timers Slow Pitch Baseball League. Brian enjoyed his fellowship at the Lower, Dickens, Ivy Arms and Bryden’s. He was a great singer and guitarist. A quiet man, he was loyal and had some great one liners.
Friends are welcome to a Celebration of Life at the Royal Canadian Legion,
Branch 136, 21 Charles St., Milton
on Saturday August 30, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
