AWDE, Brian Douglas – it is with great sadness we announce the passing of Brian on Saturday, March 22nd, 2025 in his 71st year. Predeceased by his parents Doug (2003) and Lillian (2016). Left to mourn is his loving partner and best friend Sandra, brothers Barry (Laurie), Bruce (Janette); his nieces and nephews, David (Kayla), Ashley (Josh), Coby (Henry), Canaan (Shelby), and great nephews Theo and Ozzy. Devoted “Pappa B” to Christie Delahunt and her children Hope, River and Leo, and great Pappa B to Deion. Brian was an electrician alongside his father for most of his life but Brian’s greatest joy was found in the simple things in life…..first and foremost his dogs, from Calliope, Scarlett, Missy and most recently Maddie; they were truly his best friends and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for them. Their mutual love knew no bounds. He was a talented handy man with a true creative spirit. He never left the farm and was proud to remain there all his days enjoying everything that nature had to offer from the fish in his pond, the grapes, the “back nine golf course”, annual maple syrup production, vegetable garden, the birds and the deer that shared his plantation. A lover of auction sales and a collector of treasures of any description. He had a great interest in planes and steam engines and enjoyed to share that love with anyone willing to take the time to listen. Friends are invited to share their memories of Brian with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Wednesday, March 26th, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. A private interment of ashes will be held at a later date. Those wishing to donate in memory of Brian are asked to consider the Ontario Lung Association or the Simcoe & District Humane Society.
