June 14, 1930 – June 20, 2025
The family wishes to announce the passing of their beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather Robert George Marsden “Bob” of Tillsonburg on Friday June 20, 2025 at the age of 95 years. Predeceased by his loving wife Donna (2010). Wonderful teacher to his children Matthew Marsden and his wife Tricia, Paul Marsden and his wife Deborah. Very proud grandfather to Joshua and his wife Lorna, Karlee and her husband David. Great grandfather to Madelynn, Levi, Hallie and Jade. Bob was predeceased by his father Gilbert, mother Amelia, step-mother Ede, brother Fred and his wife Peg.
Bob retired from a long career of teaching at Glendale High School. He was extremely active in the community as a longtime member of St. John’s Anglican Church, Tillsonburg, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #153 and the Tillsonburg Rotary Club
Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Legion Maple Leaf service will be held at 5:45 pm. The funeral service will be celebrated at St. John’s Anglican Church, 46 Ridout Street West, Tillsonburg on Friday, June 27, 2025 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Tillsonburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Helping Hand Food Bank, Tillsonburg or the Salvation Army, Tillsonburg may be made directly online or contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home.
