Ankner, Robert Maximilian (Bob)
Bob Ankner in his 91st year passed away peacefully at Headwaters Health Care Centre on January 16th, 2025, with family by his side. He is survived by his beloved wife Marlies of 70 years. Dear father of Martin (Marina),Dieter, Hans (Kim), Peter (Judy), Steven (Tammy). Beloved Opa to his 9 grandchildren; Thomas (1997), Shaun, Theresa, Anna, Paulina, Zachary (2007), Nicole,Stephanie, Kevin and Emma and and 12 great grandchildren; Brynn, Weston, Faith, Finn,Conner, Summer, Maisie,Lucy, Miley, Greyson, Erin and William. Predeceased by his parents Maximilian and Bertha (Edrich), his siblings Hella, Monika, Hildegard and Albrecht. Bob will be greatly missed by his many friends both here and in Germany.
Ruhe in Frieden (Rest in Peace)
Visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Friday, February 7th, 2025 from 2:00 pm -4:00 pm. & 6:00-8:00 pm
Those who wish may donate on Robert’s behalf to Headwaters Health Care Foundation.
Private family service.
A tree will be planted in memory of Robert in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville.
