Bill Hauser, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the age of 77. His memory will be cherished by his wife of 53 years, Faye; their children, Chad Hauser, Ryan Hauser, Ronda (Brandon) Jopp, and Kristi (Larry) Lindholm; their grandchildren, Austin, Jace, Alexa, Amelia, Aria, Meagan, Kali, Ryder, Brooklyn, Parker, Halle, Taiza, and Jaxen; their great-grandchildren, Jasper and Haven; siblings, Karen (Vern) Wardle, Bob (Sherri) Hauser, Debbie Hauser, Dennis (Cindy) Hauser, and Ron (Brenda) Hauser; and numerous family and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Albert & Arlene Hauser, and his brother, Gary Lee Hauser.
Bill was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. After serving in the Vietnam War, he met and married the love of his life, Faye. Together, they built their family in Salt Lake City, raising two sons. Later, they moved to Calgary, Alberta, where they welcomed two daughters. Throughout their lives, they occasionally resided between Calgary and Salt Lake. Bill was a hardworking and dedicated individual, having spent most of his working years running his own construction business.
Bill, a devoted father and family man, cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. During his children’s early years, he dedicated himself to coaching all their basketball teams. Additionally, Bill was an active individual, finding joy in golfing and bowling. His remarkable achievements include bowling three perfect games and achieving a hole-in-one.
Beyond his family, Bill made significant contributions to his church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and to Rotary Club. His dedication and service were recognized when he was awarded the prestigious Man of the Year Award from the Rotary Club of Calgary. Bill’s passing will deeply sadden those who knew him.
Bill’s family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of AgeCare Seton for the compassionate and caring care they provided to Bill.
A funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – California Blvd Chapel (7017 California Boulevard NE, Calgary) on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 11:30 am. A visitation will precede the service at 10:30 am. Interment will take place at Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery. If desired, friends may make donations to the Alzheimer Society (alzheimer.ca).
