It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of William (Bill) HART, who passed peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital on January 9th, 2025. Bill is survived by his loving wife Paula, son Nikolas, sister JoAnne, and his in-law family. He was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews, whose lives were touched and entertained by his care and humour. Bill was predeceased by Buddy, his fur boy and close companion throughout his cancer journey. He was also predeceased by sisters Sharron, Margaret and Pat.
Throughout his life, Bill was always known for his sarcastic sense of humour and his love of cigarettes, Coca Cola and family, especially Paula. He spent most of his career at General Motors, with many of those years in a Union role. A true car enthusiast, Bill had a passion for new cars and looked forward to updating his vehicles regularly. His personal best was three in one calendar year. Family members knew not to leave their coat in Bill’s car, as they would likely never see it again.
Cremation has taken place with a celebration of life to follow a private interment in the spring. If anyone wishes to make a donation in memory of Bill, his favourite charity was Golden Rescue www.goldenrescue.ca/
Bill’s legacy will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and the memories he created with them. He will be deeply missed.
