Beverly Ann Gamble (née McGinty) passed away unexpectedly surrounded by those she loved on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Southlake Regional Health Centre at the age of 74.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Chris Harvey, and was a proud and devoted mother to Kim (John) Andrew and stepmother to Martin Harvey.
Bev was predeceased by her cherished granddaughter Avery, whose memory she carried in her heart every day.
Bev’s greatest joy, her granddaughters Emma and Paige will forever treasure the special bond they shared with their Nanny, whose warmth, love, and laughter filled their lives with joy. As well as her extended grandchild, Matt, Sam Cheyanne and Jade.
Bev was born to parents Paul and Anna McGinty. She is survived by her sister Linda Cragg (the late Garnet), her nephew Tim Cragg, great-nieces Jessica And Diamond, great-nephew Cayden and great-great-nephew Theo.
Bev had a home as welcoming as her heart. Everyone was welcome and greeted with kindness and never left hungry. She loved a good cup of tea, and adventuring with Chris in search of a great meal.
Christmas lived in her heart all year round. No matter the season, she found joy in the little things—stringing up twinkling lights, wrapping gifts with care, or simply sharing a warm smile. Her love for the holiday was more than tradition; it was a feeling she carried with her, one that wrapped around you like a cozy blanket and gently reminded you of the magic of the season.
Tenacious, loving, and endlessly kind, Bev touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion – Collingwood on Tuesday April 22, 2025 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Georgian Triangle Humane Society or a charity of choice in Bev’s memory.
