Ms. Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Westlake, age 67 years, passed away peacefully at Lakehead Manor on Sunday, March 9, 2025. Betty was born in Port Arthur on October 13, 1957, the daughter of Ken and Jean Westlake. She served in health care locally as a Registered Nurse for many years. Betty was a longtime member of St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church until circumstances no longer allowed her to attend. She was an avid Blue Jay fan, loved watching soap operas and enjoyed crocheting for many years. Betty will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her sister Barb Raymer, niece Christina Greaves, nephew Shamus Raymer as well as by numerous great nieces and great nephews and a great niece and great nephew. She was predeceased by her parents Ken and Jean Westlake and brother-in-law Clyde Raymer. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 17th at 11:00 a.m. in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street with Rev. Elizabeth Sipos presiding. Those wishing to attend the service virtually may do so thru the Sargent & Son Facebook page. The interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
