Betty Marie Koch (nee Hick) passed away peacefully at Huntsville Hospital on January 17th 2025, in her 90th year. Predeceased by her loving husband George (2015).
Betty was the loving mother of Margaret and Joanne. Grandmother (G-ma) to Andrew Archer, Bethany Archer (Randy Allison), and Alex Archer (Jamie Bosworth). Great grandmother (GG-ma) to River, Keira, Benjamin, Sadie, and Aidan.
Betty and George spent most of their years in Willowdale while spending summers at their cottage on Horseshow Lake, and later settled in Huntsville in 2014.
Betty was a very caring person, a devoted wife and mother, and her smile could light up a room. After George’s passing, Betty enrolled in a watercolour class and thoroughly enjoyed painting. May of her painting hand proudly in her daughters’ and grandchildren’s homes.
Betty has been cremated and a celebration of her life will occur at the family home in the spring.
Special thanks to the staff at Roger’s Cove for making her short stay enjoyable, and to the caring nurses at Huntsville Hospital.
