Parker, Beryl (nee Howard)
Surrounded by the love of her family, Beryl passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton, on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at the age of 78. Beloved wife to Jim for over 50 years. Predeceased by her father Thomas and mother Louise. Loving mother to Leesa (Vinko) Lovnicki, Noreen (Jeff) Tope, and Rachel (Jason) Davis. Proud Nana of Ashley, Alexander, Kaitlyn, Victoria and Anastasia. Dear sister and best friend to Susan Jelly (late Jim) and sister-in-law to Mary Lewis. Fondly remembered by her niece Jessica (Jamie) Marcoux and great-niece Hannah.
Beryl dedicated her life to her family, always focused on their happiness and well-being. She was known for her kind heart, generosity of spirit and always being ready to brag about her grandchildren. Her grandchildren were the greatest joy of her life! She had a passion for knitting, baking, crafting and volunteering with her church community. She was also a regular blood donor, the gift of which she was very proud to share. Her legacy will live on through the countless acts of kindness and love that she shared with her family and friends.
We will be forever thankful for the wonderful care that Mom received throughout her health journey, and we would like to especially thank Dr. Badawi, and the amazing doctors and nurses, of which there are too many to list, at St. Joseph’s Hospital who cared for Beryl with the utmost care and compassion during her final days.
Beryl’s spirit will live on in our hearts and memories forever.
Beryl’s family will receive Visitors at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Monday, May 5, 2025 from 3-5 and 6-9 p.m. where Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery in Burlington to be followed by a reception at Smith’s Funeral Home. If desired, memorial contributions to the OSPCA or St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by her family.
