Passed peacefully away at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Center on Sunday, March 30, 2025, Arthur Wilbert (Bert) Clarke at the age of 91.
In 1955, he married Margaret Burton and together they raised two children: Gail and Craig.
Bert was a man of many talents who could fit his hand to most any job. He enjoyed spending time outside especially walking and snow clearing. He also loved to spend time with his family and friends.
He was one of the founding members of the Twillingate Volunteer Fire Department and dedicated 37 years of service.
Bert leaves with beautiful memories, his children Gail (Clarence) Mitchell and Craig (Judy); grandchildren Bobby (Renee), Jill (Stephen) Briffett, and Jayna; great grandchildren Hayden, Jackson, Quinn and Mitchell. Also, brother-in-law Albert Burton and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Special thank you to the Long-Term Care Staff at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre who provided Bert with loving care, support and were like family.
Donations in Bert’s memory may be given to the Twillingate Volunteer Fire Department.
