C’est avec grande tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de M. Benoit Ranger, de Squamish, C.-B., né à St-Isidore, Ontario. Il est décédé paisiblement, entouré de sa famille, le mercredi 5 mars, 2025, à 78 ans. Il était le fils de feu Aline Lamoureux et de feu Armand Ranger; l’époux aimant de Pauline Levac; le père dévoué de Sébastien ( Brighde Reed) et Isabelle (Cédric Gervais); le grand-père de Kalea, Samuel et Xavier et arrière- grand-père de Muskwa. Lui survivent ses sœurs et son frère : Thérèse (Jean-Guy Lalande), François ( Lucie Legault), Céline (Don Rush). Il fut prédécédé par ses sœurs Charlotte et Rachelle (feu Louis Giroux). Il laisse aussi dans le deuil ses beaux-frères et belles-sœurs : Vincent ( Liliane Méthot), Jacques ( Monic Girard), Lorraine (feu Hubert Leroux), Gilles (Claudette Gravel), Rémi ( Malvina Roberge), Gabrielle ( Jean-Guy Lalonde), Jean-Marc ( Lisette Vézina); prédécédé par Yolande (feu Marcel Gadouas), Gaston (Marie-Claire Leroux), Yvon (Denyse Séguin) , ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces, collègues et amis.
La famille recevra parents et amis à l’église St. Joseph, 2449 The Boulevard, Garibaldi Highlands, Squamish, BC., 604-898-5399 le 28 mars 2025 à compter de 10 heures. Le service religieux aura lieu à 11 heures. Si vous désirez faire parvenir des fleurs, ce serait à l’église, le 27 mars.
Benoit était reconnu pour sa joie de vivre, son sens de l’humour, sa générosité et surtout son amour inconditionnel pour sa famille. Il va nous manquer énormément.
Un merci spécial à l’équipe médicale en oncologie de Vancouver et Squamish et à celle des soins palliatifs de Sea to Sky Hospice. Leur dévouement et les soins prodigués à Benoit sont appréciés.

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Benoit Ranger of Squamish, BC, born in St-Isidore, Ontario. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Wednesday March 5, 2025 at 78 years old. He was the son of late Aline Lamoureux and late Armand Ranger; the loving husband of Pauline Levac; the devoted father of Sébastien ( Brighde Reed) and Isabelle ( Cédric Gervais); the grandfather of Kalea, Samuel and Xavier; the great grandfather of Muskwa. Survived by his sisters and brother: Thérèse (Jean-Guy Lalande), François (Lucie Legault), Céline (Don Rush). Predeceased by his sisters Charlotte and Rachelle ( Louis Giroux). He also leaves behind his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Vincent (Liliane Méthot), Jacques (Monic Girard), Lorraine (feu Hubert Leroux), Gilles ( Claudette Gravel ), Rémi ( Malvina Roberge), Gabrielle ( Jean-Guy Lalonde) and Jean-Marc ( Lisette Vézina). Predeceased by Yolande (late Marcel Gadouas), Gaston ( Marie-Claire Leroux) Yvon (Denyse Séguin), and many nephews and nieces, colleagues and friends.
The family will receive relatives and friends at St.Joseph Church, 2449 The Boulevard, Garibaldi Highlands, Squamish BC, 604-898-5399, on March 28 from 10 am. A religious service will be held at 11. If you wish to send flowers, they would have to be delivered at the Church on March 27.
Benoit was known for his love of life, sense of humour, generosity and mostly for his unconditional love for his family. He will be greatly missed.
Special thanks to the medical oncology team in Vancouver and Squamish and the palliative care team at Sea to Sky Hospice. Their devotion and care given to Benoit are appreciated.
